What are the different types of Lighting?

The type of lighting selected for the inside and outside areas of your home can reflect your own individual lifestyle personality in work areas, relaxation and rest areas of your home.

The most popular lighting is Light Emitting Diode (LED), they operate by producing light from the excitation of electrons in a semi-conductor device. Their initial cost is high but they have a much longer life and are less expensive to run. A wide variety of colours are also easily produced with direct coloration of the emitted light.

Type of lighting available:

Incandescent lights, once the most common type of lighting, now share popular choice with many other types of lighting, each with their own special feature.
Fluorescent tube lights by contrast are less expensive to operate and give off more light but were typically restricted to either long or large circular tube configurations.
Neon lights, another gas filled globe able to produce high brightness light from a low applied voltage.
LED, the most popular lighting option being the most energy saving light on the market
