Temperzone Ducted Split System

Ducted split systems are unobtrusive, quiet, and designed to provide year round comfort – warming in Winter and cooling in Summer. temperzone’s wide product range offers a unit of performance capacity to suit small to large split system air conditioner applications, e.g. homes, apartments, offices, shops, restaurants, motels, hotels, open plan

office and work spaces, supermarkets, shopping malls and auditoriums.

temperzone ducted systems are particularly suitable for rooms with suspended tile ceilings. Not only is valuable wall space preserved, but also the conditioned air can be ducted to the parts of the room where it is most needed.

Temperzone Ducted systems applications

Temperzone’s ducted units are suited to applications where large volume spaces are to be air conditioned. Medium to long pipe and duct runs are possible enabling greater installation flexibility.

A low profile version of the ISD, named ISDL, is available for applications where ceiling space is limited and only short duct lengths are required, e.g. apartments, hotel rooms. These units are small, lightweight, very quiet and easy to install.

This range of units have been developed to meet the
needs of typical applications. Should you have special requirements, such as higher air flows, heating in low/
high ambients, or greater sensible duty units contact your nearest temperzone representative. temperzone engineers have extensive experience in designing air conditioning equipment for specific applications.

Features and Benefits of Ducted System Includes

Refrigerant R410A

Each complete system uses refrigerant R410A which is deemed to have zero ozone depletion potential, and is supplied precharged for a 10 m line length (systems up to 27 kW).

digital scroll compressor

'Digital' systems include a digital scroll compressor, plus a conventional scroll compressor on twin systems. Each digital model/version provides a variable capacity ability that enables closer control of room temperature. Electrical harmonic noise is very low.

Efficient

These reverse cycle (heat pump) air conditioners provide one of the most efficient forms of heating you can invest in. For every 1 kW of power consumed, up to 3 kW of heat is generated. Each outdoor unit incorporates high efficiency scroll or rotary compressor/s. Heat exchange coils use inner grooved (rifled) tube for better heat transfer.

Economical

Some ISD/OSA systems (refer table) have two independent refrigeration circuits to provide the flexibility and economy of two stage operation, i.e. utilising one or two circuits as conditions vary, plus the advantage of staggered starting.

performance

These systems have been designed and tested to perform in ambient conditions as low as –5°C and as high as 46°C. Multi-speed fan motors are used to match the supply air requirements. The larger indoor units have belt driven fans for even finer tuning.

Quiet

Most models have their compressor/s isolated in built-in, insulated compartments to minimise noise. The indoor units are insulated for noise attenuation.

slimline

The compact upright design of most of the smaller outdoor units requires only a 100 mm gap on the coil side where installation is against a wall. Their slimline cabinet is particularly practical where there is restricted space, e.g. side access pathways, balconies, narrow ledges, etc.

durable

temperzone split systems are built tough to withstand all weathers. Their durable construction ensures a long life and excellent return on your investment. The outdoor coil's aluminium fins are epoxy coated for extra protection in corrosive environments, e.g. salt laden sea air.

insulation

Indoor unit cabinets are generously insulated to reduce condensation and contain noise.

self diagnostics

Outdoor Units include a controller (OUC) that has a display of LEDs to indicate faults and running conditions. A general fault indicator is included for interface to external systems.

safety

The refrigeration systems includes a number of protection facilities, including: HP and loss of refrigerant indication, anti rapid cycle timers, frost protection, circuit breaker control circuits, electronic de-ice switch, crankcase heaters and 24 V control (larger systems). An externallly attached safety drain tray is available for clients who require added peace of mind re condensate drainage.

SERVICE ACCESS

Most indoor units have built-in drain trays that can be removed for ease of cleaning and service accessibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best air conditioning system on the market?

The best air conditioner in the market is entirely based on your preference and your home’s requirement.

What size do you need?

How much will it cost to run?

What is the initial installation costs?

Our technicians know and understand air conditioning systems from a large variety of brands. We are authorised dealers of many leading air conditioning brands such as Daikin, Actron Air, Fujitsu, Brivis, Mitsubishi and more. This means that our technicians are qualified to assess, plan and install the most suitable air conditioning solution for you in your home or business. Plus, we also receive exclusive deals and competitions directly from each brand on all their air conditioning systems.

Most importantly, we receive regular and specialised training to make sure our installations are picture-perfect and industry leading.

What type of air conditioning system is right for my home?

There are several factors to figure out what the best air conditioning system is most suitable for your home.

These includes:

  • Your budget
  • Functionality of the AC
  • Any allergies/respiratory concerns
  • The amount of rooms
  • The size of the rooms

Our air conditioning technician can provide you with a complimentary, obligation-Upfront Quote to identify the best air conditioning for your home or business. This includes a heat load calculation, space inspection, and efficiency study.

Why do I need to service my aircon, it's just a filter clean?

IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT” - You've heard this saying before, correct? This philosophy doesn’t apply to mechanical devices that can actually breakdown, like your air conditioner.

AC maintenance should be done every year around the same time and not on a ‘need basis’. This is the best way to keep malfunctions and costly repairs at shore. If you neglect your air conditioner system and skip maintenance, much like your regular dental check-ups, there is a higher chance of it breaking down early or needing major repairs.

Often more than half of your energy bills comes from heating and cooling appliances, so it only makes sense to keep your air conditioning working efficiently as possible. In fact, research found that proper and regular maintenance of your air conditioner improves efficiency and reduces energy bills by up to 35%. Plus, most importantly, you and your family will be breathing in consistently health and fresh air circulated from the system.

Senior HVAC Technician Josh - "An air conditioning service is not just a filter clean. It is a full system health check and maintenance covering the indoor unit, outdoor unit and interconnecting services. We strip, clean and inspect each part of the system then test and record all the data on a health report sheet for future reference. The idea is to get the system running as efficiently and clean as possible to save the customer money on running costs and improve the hygiene in their home."

Why do you need to a heat load calculation before my installation quote?

In any room, heat comes from many different sources – computers, machineries, lighting and us, the humans that reside in it. Plus, the sun beaming onto the building, open doors and windows, or areas of leakage in the building can all allow heat to travel into the room. The sum of all these heat sources in Kilowatts tells us the heat load. We use the heat load calculation to identify the air conditioning size needed for your home. The AC’s output must be larger than the heat load/heat gain in your home for the AC to work effetively.

Is there an after-care service?

We do have an after-care maintenance agreement which comes in three and five years where your air conditioning’s recommended yearly maintenance is sorted.

This annual service will make sure that the effective functioning of your system is maintained.

Plus, when you sign up for the maintenance program you will also be entitled to an extended warranty on the installation.
